Oyster roasts are synonymous with fall entertaining. With an Old Fashioned in hand and a bushel of oysters, what can go wrong? In our oyster roast Set Up, we underscore the “low-key” request with our favorite Julia Amory blue buffalo check linens. Checks are classic and subtle but buffalo in this color keeps it fresh. Dried hydrangeas are seasonal (and hopefully available from your backyard). The basket container also maintains a casual feel.

In our opinion, Fall events must include Old Fashioneds. And served in one of our rocks glasses, it will be delicious and stylish

For non-liquor drinkers, a crisp white wine is the perfect oyster pairing. Keep it chilled in our single bottle cooler. For the kids in attendance, we would serve warm ham and cheese sandwiches on Hawaiian rolls. We promise your guests - young and old - will be happy. Assuming no allergies, add Virginia peanuts, served in one of our revere bowls, for a quick snack.

    Happy shucking!
