Some glasses just know how to party year-round, and our Margarita and Highball are two of them. The Margarita glass - wide, joyful, and made for showcasing salted rims - feels like pure summer when holding a frosty classic margarita. But as the air cools and sweaters come out, it’s just as perfect for a smoky pear & ginger margarita, with warm, spiced notes that echo the season. Its generous bowl gives room for ice, garnishes, and plenty of flavor, no matter what time of year you’re shaking things up.
The Highball, tall and effortlessly elegant, thrives in both sunny and sweater-weather months. In summer, it’s all about the classic gin & tonic - crisp, fizzy, and thirst-quenching. But come fall, it easily shifts to the richer depths of a dark & stormy, its height showing off layers of dark rum, ginger beer, and fresh lime. Crafted from mouth-blown, hand-etched glass, both shapes are dishwasher safe, durable enough for everyday use, and beautiful enough for every season’s celebrations.
Here is what we're sipping in each glass:
The Classic Margarita
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 medium lime
- 1 1/2 oz blanco or silver tequila
- 1 oz orange liqueur, preferably Cointreau
- 1/4 oz agave nectar or simple syrup (optional)
- Ice
Directions
- Spread 2 teaspoons salt in an even layer on a small flat plate. Halve 1 medium lime. Cut 1 lime wedge from one half, then juice the remaining lime pieces until you have 1 ounce. Run the lime wedge over the rim of a margarita glass to moisten. Invert the glass into the salt, turning it as needed, to coat the rim. Fill the glass with ice.
- Place the lime juice, 1 1/2 ounces blanco tequila, 1 ounce orange liqueur, and 1/4 ounce agave nectar or simple syrup if using in a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker halfway with ice, seal, and shake until the outside of the shaker is very frosty, about 20 seconds.
- Pour through a fine-mesh strainer into the glass. Garnish with the lime wedge.
Smoky Pear & Ginger Margarita
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounce pear juice or nectar
- 1 ounce tequila
- 1 ounce mezcal
- 3/4 ounce fresh-squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 ounce Agave in the Raw
- 1 dash aromatic bitters
- 1 piece fresh ginger (a thin slice or two, cut in half)
- 1 piece candied ginger, for garnish (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon flaky smoked sea salt for rimming the glass (optional)
Directions
- If you'd like a salt rim, dump the salt onto a small plate, and prepare an (empty) rocks glass by rubbing a lime wedge around the edge of the glass. Dip the wet glass rim in the salt and move it around until the rim is well coated.
- Combine the pear juice, tequila, mezcal, lime juice, agave, and sliced ginger into a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds. Double strain (pour through a mesh strainer) into your ice-filled glass.
- Garnish with a cocktail skewer of candied ginger, if you're feeling fancy, and another drop or two of the bitters.
Ingredients
- 2 oz gin
- 4 to 6 oz tonic water, to taste
- Lime wedge or slices, for garnish
Directions
- In a highball glass filled with ice cubes, pour 2 ounces gin, then top with 4 to 6 ounces tonic water.
- Gently stir to combine, but not so much so that you lose carbonation.
- Garnish with a lime wedge or slices. Serve and enjoy.
