How do you like to entertain? What is the vibe (where, feeling, how)? I love to entertain with parties. That may sound silly, but I like for my events to be filled with lots of people conversing in an informal atmosphere that is absolutely beautiful (usually outdoors). I love inviting random groups of people to make things way more interesting.
What are you serving? Very rarely am I hosting a dinner party. I prefer events where people are more focused on socializing than eating. Of course, snacks are a must, so I choose finger foods or small appetizers and intentionally host at a time of day where people don’t expect a meal.
What are you sipping? A batched cocktail, that was prepared beforehand to make life easier on myself as a host, and easily accessible to guests.
What are you wearing? Most of my parties have a theme that is dictated through the invitation’s design, so I’m typically dressed to match the theme in some way.
What are you listening to? My go-to is the Saint Jhn station on Pandora.
If you are hosting a dinner, what is your go-to centerpiece? Flowers and taper candles– always!!
How do you end a celebration? Very rarely I end it. There’s always one or two people that have started a great conversation that they don’t want to end. So I typically just let things fizzle out. Guests usually get the hint when everything is cleaned up…or they’re literally the last ones left.
What is your favorite Half Past Seven product to entertain with? I love the Starry Night collection (especially the rocks glasses + ice bucket), but my go-to are the pewter revere bowls. They’re sooo classic and are easy to incorporate into any design (and with any snack).
