Cinco de Mayo x Gris Gris

It is no secret that we love a good cocktail around here, especially a spicy margarita. And since close to 75% of our products are hand-crafted in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo feels especially apropos to Half Past Seven.

We’ve written about this before but one of our favorite barware staples is a good elixir, and Gris Gris is by far the best. Made from clean ingredients and blended with surprisingly delicious flavors, we’re adding Gris Gris to all of cocktails - especially our margaritas!

We like to elevate our margarita game by entertaining with an unexpected twist - the heat from the Gris Gris Jalapeno Hex served in a non-traditional glass, like our Tortoise Rocks Glasses

This Cinco de Mayo, we’re teaming up with Gris Gris to give away our go-to necessities for the tastiest spicy margarita. One lucky winner will receive a set of our handcrafted Tortoise Rocks Glasses (made in Mexico) and Gris Gris’s Jalapeno Hex to give your marg the perfect kick. Follow along on our Instagram to learn more about the giveaway and be entered to win.

P.S. Do you know the origins of Cinco de Mayo? The holiday actually celebrates Mexico's victory over France in the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Cinco de Mayo is actually a relatively minor holiday in Mexico and observed primarily in the state of Puebla. Since the 1960s, here in the Untied States it has become interpreted as a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage.
