The Women Behind Half Past Seven

Jen Burch and Margaret Dillard met through work, but quickly realized the job was not going to be the only thing the two had in common. Both had two preschool-aged boys, their husbands were in the same industry, both were first born, and too often joined a Zoom call in the same outfit. But it was the love for decor and the thrill of the unending treasure hunt to make their houses homes that ultimately brought these two together.

After years of "so where’d you get that piece?," and "how’d it go with your guests this weekend?," Jen and Margaret realized their shared obsession with all things home and hosting was something they should officially explore together. What they also realized was that not everyone is eager to host guests, spend hours searching for “that piece,” or trust their gut with decorating their homes. And it’s no wonder, with the overwhelming amount of choices and information today.

Friends Helping Friends

Half Past Seven was born to help entertainers sift through the noise and find their unique footing and style. We believe that when you feel confident and comfortable in your home, welcoming friends and family to enjoy it with you is a natural effect. So, we’re here not only to bring you timeless, versatile and high-quality home staples, but to be a trusted source of helpful advice, too.

The Half Past Seven aesthetic is layered and classic, with texture and depth, and ready for real life. We love a home that reflects where you’ve been and where you still want to go. We love chinoiserie, anything blue or green, the classics like stripes and tortoise shell and a pop of the unexpected whimsy that surprises and delights.
