Half Past Seven’s ceramics collection is handcrafted in Guanajuato, Mexico by a family company who have been in business for more than 30 years. Similar to other stoneware productions, they use a high-temperature firing process, meaning each piece fires in a 1200-degree oven for 10 hours and then dries for 15 days. This ensures that our stoneware ceramics are non-porous and durable.
The clay is sourced from the Veracruz and Hidalgo regions of Mexico (a brown clay and a red clay, respectively). Products are certified cadmium-free and lead-free, and dishwasher safe. Each piece is crafted by hand, meaning that no two are exactly the same.
